Theresa Powers, CPC, ACS-GS, CPMA, RCC, CCVTC is currently a coding manager for a diverse billing and consulting firm. She is a certified coder through AHIMA and the AAPC, a Certified Medical Auditing Specialist through NAMAS, and a PMCC Instructor through the American Academy of Professional Coders as well as having a licensed nursing background. With more than 20 years of experience in the medical field, her special interests include Surgery, Evaluation and Management codes, Gastroenterology, Pulmonology, Critical Care, OB/GYN and Dermatology Coding. She is a speaker for Cross Country University, Tennessee Medical Association and has presented several seminars for medical professional societies and physician groups.
