What is a Certified Professional Coder Training Course?

The DoctorsManagement CPC Training Course is taught by an AAPC Certified Instructor.  It is an intensive course that covers all medical and specialty coding.  All study materials are approved by the American Academy of Professional Coders.  The course thoroughly covers the principles of ICD-9 Coding, HCPCS Coding, CPT Coding, and Medical Terminology.

Why Choose Us?

Our course is taught in a small classroom setting to allow hands-on training and coding exercises.  Our goal is to have you fully prepared to pass the CPC exam and become certified by AAPC.  We will hold a special review session prior to your exam to have you as prepared as possible.  We are available outside of the classroom to assist you with questions.  We are the only site listed by AAPC in East Tennessee and only one of four sites in the state of Tennessee.  We offer Saturday-only classes, weekday and evening classes.

Participants

This course is available to individuals interested in expanding their coding knowledge and the student interested in a career in medical coding.  Eligibility - high school diploma; must be 18 years old; one year of work experience in a medical office setting is preferred, but not necessary.

 AAPC Exam Requirements
To sit for the AAPC exam, the student must have attended a PMCC curriculum or attended a 80 hour coding curriculum or have 2 or more years work experience.
