Symposium for Clinical Laboratories
The Symposium for Clinical Laboratories, co-sponsored by COLA and the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, will be held May 14-17, 2008, at the Hyatt Regency St. Louis at Union Station, St. Louis, Missouri.
The Symposium will offer continuing sessions on regulatory issues, management topics, and technical courses. It provides at least twenty Class 1 Continuing Medical Education units (CMEs) for physicians who need continuing education to qualify to serve as the Laboratory Director for a moderate complexity laboratory as well as CEUs to comply with CLIA regulations and those states and certification agencies that require it. The Symposium will also meet Florida’s very specific requirements for CEUs.
Vendors will display the latest and greatest laboratory supplies, instruments and services, along with some classic staples. Time with the vendors is a great time for networking and socializing as well.
Ann Bachman, MT(ASCP), CLC(AMT), AAPOL Executive Director, will present four sessions: Quality Assessment in the POL, Preparing for a Laboratory Inspection, CLIA Compliance, and A Laboratory Like Yours. For more information, go to www.cola.org/clinsym08.html or call 800-981-9883, ext 427. |
