OSHA Online Employee Training for Medical and Dental Practices
Delivered right to each employee’s computer or mobile device, OSHA online training for employers, managers and staff makes it easy to ensure your entire medical or dental team is current on their OSHA training.
OSHA requires employers to provide training for all employees based on their job responsibilities initially and every year. With staff turnover, one-on-one training for new hires can be time consuming.
Online training eliminates travel time and expense for those who traditionally have come to our office in Knoxville and opens the opportunity to those who are not located nearby. It can be accessed from any computer and most handheld devices (sound is needed).
“OSHA Online Training for Medical and Dental Offices” includes a one-hour online training video, a downloadable handout and an online quiz. The practice’s safety coordinator or manager receives email notification and score as each employee(s) take the quiz. Hygienists and dentists in Tennessee can get board-approved CEUs*.
The training video, presented by Kelly Ogle, RDH, OSHA/HIPAA Specialist with DoctorsManagement, covers the following topics:
- Background information about OSHA
- Bloodborne Pathogens
- Hazard Communication, including the new SDSs and pictograms
- Fire and electrical safety
- Emergency evacuation and general safety guidelines
- Radiation and laser safety
- Workplace Violence
Online training can fulfill initial and annual training requirements, however, someone at the site will still need to address site-specific information and allow staff members to ask questions.
